I have been an ebay member for several years as many ebayers I was not doing it for a living just more of a hobby. After the new fee
hikes I decided to start my own auction site (http://www.bidviper.com)
It may never be a big site like ebay but the buyers and sellers can leave
feedback. Sellers can start listing items now and only pay a fee if they sell their stuff. Like I said for me its more of a hobby than anything.

That was a very thorough study. We test internally with services like ReturnPath and DeliveryMonitor, but I love "real-world" stuff like this. Thanks for all the hard work, and posting all this research.

Just wondering if you did any research into whether email authentication affected deliverability? It's a one-click checkbox in MailChimp that would give you DKIM, SPF, and SenderID authentication.

Our tests show that it can help you get through some large corporate email firewalls with authentication on, but sending to at-home and personal email addresses is more "meh, no difference." They say that's changing, and more ISPs are using authentication, but I'd love to know if it helps with your particular list.

Sean--Ryan from iContact here. If we can do anything to keep you as a customer please let me know. If you are in fact sending out much less than before we're happy to provide lower prices. Our CPM rates are usually half of MailChimps. Feel free to email me at ryan[at]icontact.com.

Cheers,
